DWOM, Like your blog. Clear, to the point, no BS. I'll check out the Border Fence Project tonight. You probably already know about these other organizations, but just in case you don't, take a look at
Both of these are excellent sites with useful info and ways to take action. I used one of them to send a few faxes yesterday to my congressperson and senators.
I've been very busy and unable to do anything on my own blog for awhile, but I hope to be back soon. In the meantime, keep up the good work. You really have a great and timely blog.

One of the most pointless waste of time these people can do.
I am all for border enforcement, but building walls on the Mexican border is an impotent move by desperate people.
We'd be better off offering state hood to Mexico and cleaning out the corruption in their police and government, it will cost less than a "war" and the problem is economic. A buoyant economy in Mexico will do what your wall won't, keep people in their home regions where they can find work and hope to improve.
You offer nothing but hopelessness and anger. Neither will solve the problem.
I am all for the wall, as a hard working, Legal American Citizen. It's is not our job to solve the world's problems, when we can't solve our own poverty, debts, and other issues. The whole length of the border, or most of it, would cost $23 million dollars. That's nothing compared to the other HUGE checks our government writes to foreign countries, using tax payer dollars.
The wall addresses a symptom but does not solve the problem and are you planning to shoot people who cross over the wall, how much does it cost to staff it? How much will the detention camps cost? It will cost a lot more than $23 million dollars year in and year out.
The real problem is lack of economic opportunity in Mexico. It should not be the USA's problem but it is. A wall may feel good to some of you but it does nothing to solve the problem in a country that shares our border and is a tremendous waste of time.
Last country that built such a wall, East Germany, no longer exists because the wall was a futile gesture. As would be any wall built on any of our borders. The Berlin Wall was a symbol of oppression and fear. A USA-Mexico wall would be just be a symbol of fear.
If anyone's wondering why I haven't posted here lately it's because I've been working on my own blog host. It's finally done, (mostly) and you may see it at http://rantnation.com. Hope to see you there! John
I am in favor of the fence. What some people don't understand, this "fence/wall" will have an opening....like, a DOOR....an entrance, where we can either admit or refuse a visitor. Works on the same principal as our homes. When "visitors" come, we expect them to use the front door. If they come up thru the cellar, or thru a window, then they become "intruders".
Why is this concept so difficult to understand? I believe in the old "K.I.S.S." formula....works for me. Older and Wiser

I wouldn't waste a nickel on such folly.
